Mundella 'Stepping Stones' Pre-School Now Open

We are pleased to share that Mundella Primary School in Folkestone, part of the Veritas Multi Academy Trust, opened the doors to its new Pre-School facilities at the start of the new school term on Monday 6th January 2025.  

Louisa Blunden, Assistant Headteacher and Early Years Lead shares, ‘we are absolutely delighted with how quickly the children have settled in. We look forward to welcoming many more children to our Mundella Stepping Stones family'.

Dr. Kerry Jordan-Daus, CEO of Veritas MAT commented that ‘our education vision is to provide every child with an irresistible opportunity for learning. The Pre-School is a stepping stone for our youngest children to achieving this and the first step in their Mundella and Veritas journey and we are delighted to offer this to new and existing families within the Mundella and Folkestone communities.’ 

Mundella Primary School and Veritas MAT would like to thank many key stakeholders in their support in the planning, consultation and construction of our fantastic new pre-school facilities. The pre-school has dedicated indoor and outdoor areas to provide all the key areas of Early Years play and development.  

We would like to extend special thanks to the Roger DeHaan Trust for donating £3,000 for the development of the pre-school and £500 from Cllr Abena Akuffo-Kelly. Sincere thanks for your kind donations and helping to bring our pre-school to fruition. 

The Pre-School is currently open to children aged 3-4 years old, for morning sessions between 8.45-11.45am, Monday to Friday, term time only. We can offer the 15 universal hours for children aged 3 or 4.

We plan to open for full days extending the sessions to include lunch and afternoon availability from 12:15-3:15pm in due course.
