Pilgrims' Way Pupils win Canterbury festival poem competition
Towards the end of the school year 22/23, pupils in KS2 at Pilgrims' Way Primary School, Canterbury took part in a poetry competition for The Canterbury Arts Festival. All poems had to fit the theme of ‘Refuge’ but were completely free on style. Lots of pupils entered with some brilliant poems.
It is with huge pride that we can announce two of our pupils have been shortlisted for the anthology! A massive well done to Vaiga and Adeife! Their poems will be included in the anthology and they are invited to a special poetry workshop with famous poet John Hegley and a special awards night to celebrate their achievement.
Three other Pilgrims' Way pupils have also earned honourable mentions – Freya, Steven and Henry!
A huge congratulations to all our pupils in this fantastic achievement.
